    6 This determines which Minecraft blocks WorldPainter will generate for the surface of the map. There are simple terrain types, which correspond to one Minecraft block type, and more complex terrain types, which generate a mix of block and/or plants or other items on top of the surface. The terrain type also influences the automatic biome WorldPainter will generate.

    8 The terrain types are selected from the Terrain palette, one of the palettes located (by default) on the left side of the window, underneath the toolbox. Click on the Terrain tab to access it. WorldPainter also allows you to define your own Custom Terrain types, for instance if you want a mix of blocks, or if you want to use custom blocks from mods. These are applied the same way as regular terrain types, but they are located on the Custom Terrain palette.
